three members of the Booth Operations Management faculty: Professor René Caldentey, Professor

Candidates must have obtained a PhD preceding the start date of appointment in operations
research, computer science, economics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline, and have a
strong theoretical background and record of accomplishment in research on similar topics. Term of
appointment will be two years with competitive salary and benefits and possibility of one additional
year contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The term of appointment
may commence anytime on or after August 15, 2020.
Postdocs are expected to contribute to the intellectual life of Chicago Booth and the Operations

impactful theoretical and practical projects and publishing papers in top outlets, to mentoring PhD
students and supervising their research projects. Especially the candidates whose long-term
objective is to pursue an academic career in a related field are encouraged to apply to our program.
Our hope is to help them succeed through research collaborations, training, and other resources that
can be provided by the Booth Operations Management faculty.
